I am pleased to announce the all new NK Sprint racing exhaust for the GILERA RUNNER and ITALJET DRAGSTER 125/180/172
lc engines.
Because i have spent more time fixing racing exhausts than actualy useing them i thought it was about time there
was a good quality totaly hand made british exhaust for people to choose from.
And now the challenge began and it wasnt as easy as you might expect,The first challenge was how do you actualy build
an exhaust,Well as i hapens i managed to get in contact with one of the most respected traditional scooter exhaust manufacturers
in the UK in the form of NK Exhausts and beleive you me he knows his stuff.
The next thing was the design so i looked at all the other exhausts on the market most of which i just hapened to
have lying around,I then looked at all the week points and strong points of each individual exhaust with this in mind i went
to NK,then after extensive discusion we came up with the NK Sprint design.The first thing we wanted to achive was RELIABILITY
so we desided to make our exhausts out of thicker and therefore stronger material.
Once we had got our design agreed upon we the went to the test stage,so we made our first NK Sprint i could not wait
to try it so i bolted it onto my runner and gave it a good thrashing,after several trials and adjustments we finaly got it
right.
Now came the long slog of testing the robustness of the NK Sprint and after 3 months use in all weathers over the winter
it has proved to be very STRONG.
The first initial test on the DYNO proved encouraging with a increase of 2 BHP straight away on the standard 180 with
no setup or alterations.obviously more time setting up the NK Sprint would of proved even better still.
Some of the design features of the NK Sprint realy show up well in chrome especialy the beautiful LOBSTER TAIL back end
all hand crafted.
The NK Sprint realy is a work of art in its own right and real peice of british craftmanship anyone would be proud
to own and show off.
